Cafe Marlene Zamora

Cafe Marlene Zamora
Hello there! This is the first official Cafe Cat review.
Above you see the Cafe Cat herself (me!) and below my beloved friend plays for my camera.

The first cafe we wanted to review was closed but, as it turns out, we found somewhere even better while we were walking around...

Sitting on a corner of the Plaza Mayor in Zamora was the cutest little cafe, themed on the famous Marlene Dietrich by the name, not surprisingly, of Cafe Marlene. The place is looking a little old and worn but it still has a magical and grand quality about it.

Look at the classic upholstered chairs, like little thrones!

And you'll never believe it! This handsome man suggested something to me which, quite frankly, I don't feel I can repeat here on the Cafe Cat. This is supposed to be about coffee, Mr! Take your moustache and your dreamy eyebrows and hit the road!

This place is certainly worth a little visit if you are ever lucky enough to be in Zamora with some time to relax. My pal and I were fortunate enough to see a wedding wandering into the church and had lots of fun commenting on some of the disastrous outfits. A charming Saturday afternoon in the Spanish sun and a piece of European cafe culture at its best.

  3. I'm so glad you found my blog. Your blogs are wonderful as well! I look forward to more of your cafe reviews. If I should someday find myself in Spain, I will try to remember to visit Zamora. It sounds lovely. I can point you to some cafes in Orange County, California, if your travels bring you here! :)
