An Interview with Lisa Eats World

Good morning all,

Today's featured blogger is the one and only Lisa from Lisa Eats World, who I befriended months back. I knew she was a kindred spirit when I saw she liked cats, food and travel- a girl after my own heart- so I eventually persuaded her to meet me for cake and tea and we've since been bosom blog pals. She really is a sweet treat and the loveliest of ladies.

If you haven't read her blog before, you need to start now please, especially if you live in London.

Let's find out a little more...
Where are you from and why do you love where you live?

I'm originally from sunny Australia and have spent a lot of time wandering the globe in search of the best food and sights. I have spent the last couple of years based in London which has been an AMAZING experience. It's a city full of life and energy with fantastic restaurants, galleries and markets around every corner. And it's only a short flight away from some of my fave European cities like Paris and Barcelona. I have my sights set on a Melbourne base next to explore the Aussie Outback and have more food adventures in Asia.

When did you start your blog and why?

I started this job last year to share two of my biggest passions in life - food and travel. Ever since I was a wee little baby, I have always been obsessed with food and have a particular appreciation for pretty sweet things like cupcakes, macarons and brownies. At first, I was so shy about my blog and so nervous to hit the publish button but I am so glad I finally did it. It has opened up a world of fun opportunities and I never expected I would meet such a lovely network of people from around the world.

Describe your blog in three words

Yummy, globe-trotting, cheerful.

How did we meet?

I met the lovely Sally after series of hilarious texts and emails about cats, chocolate and cake. We finally met over cake at Ottolenghi and it was love at first bite. She is every bit as beautiful in person as she is over email. I look forward to many more international pen pal chit chats in the future and sharing cat tales.

So, dear readers, that's Lisa from Lisa Eats World who is sadly leaving us to start anew in Melbourne.
I'm sure she'll be bringing us international stories so it's not goodbye, but hello to the Southern Hemisphere!
While I'm going to miss her, I'll be sure to follow her blog closely and I hope you will too.
