My Favourite Posts 2012

2012 is OVER. What a curious year it was. I went from teacher to office job to writer. From Barcelona to England. I sold all my things, packed one suitcase and bid adieu to fond friends to say hello to old faces on the cobbled street of Canterbury. I kissed my loved one goodbye as he went to take the trip of his lifetime on his motorcycle. Whizzing out of my life and into South Africa, knowing not when we'd see each other again.
Sipping soup in my bed on this rather grey Monday, let's look back on my favourite articles and picture from the year now put to rest.

1. My Perfect Barcelona

I wrote this article originally as a guest post for Rob Dobson of 'Homage to Barcelona'. It was nearing the end of my time in the city and so I jumped at the chance to concoct my vision of a perfect day. When I read it now, it makes me chuckle. Part of me wants to re-edit and possibly extend it but as it stands, I still love reading it. You can read it here.

2. The Haunting

3. Satan's Coffee Corner

My very first interview! This article started me off on my mission to get to know people in the city. I already knew Marcos so he was an easy start but his business (and coffee) is one of my faves- still inspiring future articles with other people. Should you ever want an idea sounding-board, Marcos is your man. If you're in Barcelona, go see him for a coffee. You can read the article here.

4. Returning to England

There are actually quite a few articles around this topic since I arrived home in my favourite season: autumn.
