Lolita Taperia in Pictures, I Love Barcelona Places #9

If you're looking for tapas in Barcelona, why not try Lolita Taperia on C/Tamarit? Formerly known as Albert Adria's 'Inopia', Lolita has carried through his reputation for great, high quality and innovative food.
Think tapas classics but prepared lovingly. The potatoes in the ensalada rusa take a couple of days to soak, making it soft and delicious and the patatas bravas are perfectly crisped.
The highlight of my evening was the Catalan cheese grilled with truffled honey. Soft, gooey and sweet with rich undertones. We didn't go completely wild as we also had plans to go to Vinito for queso de Zamora and  so we only chose a few typical dishes but the selection is wide. Just go to their website here to see the menu for yourself.

Food aside, the bar also works as a vermouthery at midday on Saturdays with plenty of good Spanish wines, local Moritz beer and Catalan cava.

Open in the evenings from 7pm until midnight and even later at the weekends, it's a great place to catch up with friends in the lively and warm atmosphere.
The video below will give you a better idea of the interior... watch out for a handsome blonde... my very dear friend Rob Roy!
Next time I'm in Barcelona (which won't be long now!) I will definitely be paying a little visit and I think you should, too.

And you definitely want to try Caravelle, in the Raval too... If you look in my Barcelona section, there are lots of links and you just need to google map them to find walking directions.

Good luck and have a great time! xxx

  5. Wowza! That jamón looks to die for - just the way I like it, the bravas aren't too shabby either, and of course I always say yes to cheese. Nice shots miss!
